This sharp upward trajectory marks an extraordinary 87 percent surge from the company's initial public offering (IPO) issue price of Rs 807, bringing the stock within striking distance of officially doubling early investors' capital. Having made a strong market debut on August 17 at Rs 980—reflecting an immediate 21.4 percent listing gain—the healthcare stock has sustained relentless buying momentum over just 19 trading sessions, cementing its status as one of the most successful primary market listings of the season.

Record-Breaking IPO Subscription and Institutional Backing

The extraordinary post-listing rally follows a highly successful public issue when Molbio Diagnostics launched its Rs 940 crore IPO, which concluded with an overwhelming 70.26 times overall subscription by August 12. Investor enthusiasm was powered by stellar demand across all categories, with the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) segment witnessing a massive 186.39 times subscription, Non-Institutional Investors (NII) subscribing 49.80 times, and Retail Investors bidding 12.96 times against their reserved allocations. Comprising a fresh issue of Rs 200 crore alongside an Offer for Sale (OFS) of 91.66 lakh shares, the offering also secured strong pre-listing backing of Rs 281.5 crore from prominent anchor investors, including global financial heavyweights like Goldman Sachs, BlackRock Global Funds, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
