Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled development ventures worth Rs 4,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district on Saturday, as reported by news agency PTI. During the event, PM Modi emphasized, “The Sant Ravidas memorial will add to our nation’s heritage. In the coming 1-2 years, I will also have the privilege of inaugurating the temple.”
PM Modi articulated, “Sant Ravidas emerged during the turbulent Mughal era, combating social vices and injustices, ushering an era of awareness.”
He initiated the construction of the Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas ji Memorial, a project outlined in a government statement. The memorial, spanning 11.25 acres, will be erected in Sagar district at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
Dedicated to Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas’ life, philosophy, and teachings, the memorial will encompass a museum and art gallery. Furthermore, provisions like Bhakt Niwas and Bhojanalay will cater to visiting devotees.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the completion of the Kota-Bina rail route expansion project. This venture, with an estimated expenditure surpassing Rs 2,475 crore, traverses Rajasthan’s Kota and Baran districts, and Madhya Pradesh’s Guna, Ashoknagar, and Sagar districts.
