Bollywood film producer Boney Kapoor shared a nostalgic post on Instagram, remembering his late wife, Sridevi, on Holi. In his emotional tribute, he posted a throwback picture of the legendary actress participating in the traditional 'sindoor khela' ritual during Durga Puja.
The touching image captured Sridevi with vermillion smeared on her face, while Boney Kapoor’s name was elegantly inscribed in the same red hue on her back. In the caption, Boney fondly reminisced about the joy the festival brought to Sridevi, writing, "Holi was happiest." His post reflected the deep bond they shared, even years after her passing.
A Love Story That Defined Bollywood
Boney Kapoor first saw Sridevi on the set of a Tamil film in the late 1970s, where he instantly fell for her. However, their formal introduction happened later on the sets of Mr. India (1987), which Boney produced. Their professional connection soon turned into a deep romantic bond, culminating in marriage in June 1996.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, in 1997, followed by their second daughter, Khushi Kapoor, in 2000. Over the years, they built a loving family, and their relationship became one of Bollywood’s most celebrated love stories.
Sridevi’s Enduring Legacy
The film industry was left heartbroken when Sridevi tragically passed away in February 2018 due to accidental drowning in Dubai. Despite her untimely demise, her legacy continues to inspire millions, with fans remembering her stellar performances and unparalleled charisma.
Boney Kapoor’s constant tributes to Sridevi serve as a testament to his enduring love for her. His latest post, shared during Holi, is yet another reminder of the profound impact she had on his life, both personally and professionally.
