Government Validates Non-Escalatory Focused Strikes
The Ministry of Defence indicated that the operation encompassed the destruction of Jaish-e-Mohammad's base in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's facility in Muridke among other nine terror installation sites. The government maintained that the strikes were careful not to hit Pakistani military assets and were ‘focused, calibrated, and did not escalate tensions.’
According to the ministry:
“India has demonstrated considerable self restraint with regards to the choice of the target and the means of engagement employed. These actions were necessary in light of the savage Pahalgam incident where 25 Indians and one Nepali were non-combatants were slaughtered. We will debrief on Operation Sindoor later today.”
