College Closed and 143 Female Students Sent Home Due to Water Motor Breakdown and Clogged Toilets

Academic training at the Government GNM Training Institute, situated within the old Sadar Hospital campus in Buxar, has come to a complete standstill, exposing severe administrative apathy and infrastructure neglect. Educational activities were abruptly disrupted on August 18 after the campus water pump motor burned out and the primary septic and toilet systems became severely clogged. As a residential training institution accommodating numerous aspiring healthcare professionals, the sudden breakdown of basic sanitation facilities rendered the campus entirely unlivable, forcing the administration to take drastic measures.

143 Resident Student Nurses Sent Back Home Amid Funding Crisis

With basic amenities paralyzed, the institute found itself unable to immediately undertake necessary repairs due to a severe crunch in institutional funds. Consequently, the authorities decided to close the residential facility and send all 143 female student nurses back to their respective homes. The situation took a bizarre turn on August 25, when students were briefly summoned back to the campus to participate in a student cooperation camp. However, as soon as the day’s program concluded, the students were once again dismissed and sent away, leaving their professional nursing curriculum suspended indefinitely as they await administrative intervention.
