BRABU Examination Controller Prof. Ram Kumar Resigns Over Administrative Interference

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) in Muzaffarpur has witnessed a major administrative shakeup as the Controller of Examinations, Prof. Ram Kumar, tendered his resignation from the post, which has been promptly accepted by the Vice-Chancellor. Following the departure, the university administration has assigned the additional charge of Controller of Examinations to College Inspector Dr. Arvind Kumar.

Official Notification and Reassignment

The university’s Registrar issued an official notification on Wednesday afternoon confirming the leadership change. Former Examination Controller Professor Ram Kumar has been formally directed to return and resume duties within the Chemistry Department of his parent institution. Prof. Kumar had initially submitted his resignation papers to the Vice-Chancellor on August 23, citing insurmountable administrative hurdles.

Administrative Interference and Technical Deadlocks

According to insider sources within the university, daily operations and examination scheduling were severely compromised due to constant interference from other administrative offices. Tensions reached a breaking point when the Registrar's Office reportedly revoked the Examination Department's official user ID and password credentials.

This technical restriction created an administrative deadlock, abruptly halting critical tasks including pending result corrections, the distribution of official mark sheets, and the issuance of essential graduation documents to students.

Resignation on Moral Grounds Amid Student Pressure

With results delayed and crucial verification processes stalled, students flooded the examination department with persistent demands and protests for timely resolutions.

Addressing his departure, Dr. Ram Kumar stated that he chose to resign on moral grounds. He explained that prevailing administrative bottlenecks and restrictions prevented him from fulfilling his duties and resolving students' academic grievances within required timelines, making it untenable for him to continue in office.
