Bihar: Automated Sensor Tracks Ready Across 32 Districts to Curb Fraud
In a sweeping administrative transformation designed to modernize road safety compliance and eliminate corruption, the Transport Department of Bihar has finalized the civil and technological construction of state-of-the-art automated driving testing tracks across 32 districts. The transition is engineered to replace subjective manual evaluations with an entirely objective, scientific, and automated performance matrix for granting driving licenses. While pilot testing protocols are already actively operational on dedicated tracks situated in Patna and Aurangabad, the state-wide rollout across the remaining completed district facilities is primed to go live shortly, heralding an era of strictly standardized driving skill assessments across Bihar.
Extensive Statewide Network: Automated Testing Infrastructure Ready from Purnia to Gaya
According to official executive updates issued by the Transport Department, specialized automated tracks have been fully constructed and readied in Motihari, Purnia, Banka, Nawada, Bhagalpur, Kaimur, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Nalanda, Shivhar, Samastipur, and Jehanabad. The infrastructure footprint also covers Sitamarhi, Rohtas, Munger, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Bettiah, Buxar, Araria, Vaishali, and Lakhisarai, alongside Khagaria, Saran, Madhepura, Gaya, Gopalganj, Supaul, Arwal, Saharsa, and Siwan. Departmental engineers confirmed that testing track civil works across the remaining few districts have reached final finishing stages and will be integrated into the state network shortly, creating uniform testing infrastructure across northern and southern Bihar.
Sensor-Driven Evaluations: Strict Maneuvers, Parking Tests, and Elimination of Middlemen
Under the incoming testing paradigm, every applicant will be subjected to automated sensory and camera tracking on meticulously designed physical courses that replicate real-world urban and highway driving challenges. Evaluation criteria will strictly assess how effectively candidates obey digital traffic signals, navigate sharp curves, manage graded elevation restarts, and execute parallel and reverse parking without crossing perimeter demarcations. The automated testing mechanism directly addresses historical complaints regarding informal evaluations and discretionary approvals, systematically eliminating middlemen and fraudulent licensing conduits while simultaneously compressing administrative waitlists so that eligible, road-ready drivers receive their permanent licenses in a streamlined, transparent manner.
