50-KM Long Kanwaria Path to Connect Paija Ghat to Baba Garibnath Temple on Sultanganj Lines
In a major development aimed at enhancing pilgrim comfort, the Bihar government is set to construct a massive 50-kilometer-long permanent unpaved Kanwaria path stretching from Paija Ghat Dham all the way to the revered Baba Garibnath Temple. Bihar Road Construction Minister Engineer Kumar Shailendra personally visited Paija Ghat on Thursday to review local arrangements and issue essential directives to departmental officials, ensuring seamless preparations for future Shravan yatras.
On-Site Joint Inspection with NHAI Officials
To fast-track the ambitious project, Minister Kumar Shailendra conducted a thorough joint inspection alongside senior departmental officers and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials. The inspection prioritized pilgrim convenience, focusing heavily on evaluating current sanitation standards, transportation networks, and overall crowd management. The proposed six-meter-wide unpaved pathway is planned to run along NHAI land, mirroring the famous pilgrimage routes seen in Sultanganj.
Streamlining Paperwork and Departmental Procedures
During detailed deliberations on-site, the Minister directed concerned authorities to immediately initiate all necessary paperwork and fast-track departmental protocols. The objective is to lay down a robust infrastructural foundation so that millions of Lord Shiva devotees can undertake a safe, well-organized, and smooth Kanwar Yatra in the years to come without facing logistical hurdles.
