For today, May 1, banks are closed for Labor and Maharashtra Day. These are part of the weekly holidays which is Sunday and also second and fourth Saturdays. May 9 (Friday): Rabindra Jayanti – Banks will remain closed in Kolkata.
May 12 (Monday): Buddha Purnima – Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Dehradun, Itanagar, Jammu, Kanpur, So Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar are also closed.
May 16 (Friday): State Day – Gangtok will also see the closure of Banks
26 May (Monday): Kazi Nazrul Islam Jayanti – Agartala will also observe the Banks Closure.
29 May(Thursday): Maharana Pratap Jayanti – These dates will also have Bank closures in Shimla.
Will online banking services be available?
Even if the bank branches will not function on these days, customers will still be able to transact through UPI, Net Banking, Mobile Banking, IMPS, and other digital avenues as these services will be accessible twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
