Babri Masjid case: Important day today, 32 accused including Advani will be recorded in court

New Delhi: Thursday’s day will be important in the Babri Masjid demolition case in Ayodhya. The statement of 32 accused, including BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh,  Uma Bharti, will be recorded in the special CBI court today. While Special Judge SK Yadav has prepared more than one thousand questions to ask each accused, whose answers are to be given to the accused.

Tell that in the Babri Masjid demolition case till now, the CBI had produced a total of 354 witnesses against the accused, after whose testimony is over, the court has prepared more than a thousand questions to ask the accused based on the prosecution forms and the testimony of the witnesses. While the court will ask the accused questions about the allegations leveled against them in the open court. During this time, the accused will answer him and also keep his side. At the same time, in this statement, if the accused has to give clarification in his favor, then the court will tell him and the court will give him a chance to present the witness of cleanliness.

Significantly, on 6 December 1992, the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished by a rampaging mob. The report of this case was filed on 6 December 1992 by the then police station in-charge of Ramjanma Bhoomi police station, Priyambada Nath Shukla, and outpost in-charge Ganga Prasad Tiwari. Later the investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI, which had filed a charge sheet against a total of 49 accused, out of which trial is going on against 32 including LK Advani, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh, Murlimohar Joshi, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, Champat Rai. While 17 accused including Bala Saheb Thackeray, Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore, Vishnu Hari Dalmia have died. The Supreme Court has ordered the Special Court in this matter to give its decision by 31 August.


Explain that the special CBI court, hearing the Babri Masjid demolition case, fixed the date of June 4 for the next hearing on May 28 and directed all the accused to appear in the court to record the statement. In this case, there are 32 people including former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, and senior BJP leaders Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Vinay Katiyar, Sadhvi Ritambhara, Sakshi Maharaj, Ram Vilas Vedanti and Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
