South Dinajpur: An Indian national has been arrested by personnel posted at Hili-2, the board out post of the 61st Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) under Raiganj sector. The arrested Indian national has been identified as Lakhi Ram (70). The BSF issued a press release on Tuesday to inform about this.
According to information, Lakhi Ram was caught while trying to cross the India-Bangladesh International Border (IB) illegally near Indian village-Supparipatti. The arrested Lakhi Ram said he was trying to cross the international border to meet his cousin Mangal Mardi. The arrested Lakhi Ram has been handed over to Hilli Police Station for further action.
