Anuradha Poundwal’s explanation of the objection to the remix, not Arijit’s

Mumbai: Arijit Singh’s fans were furious after veteran singer Anuradha Paudwal objected to the remix of ‘Aaj Phir Tum Pe Pyaar’. After controversy over this issue, Anuradha Paudwal has finally revealed that as a singer she has no personal objection to Arijit, but she does object to the remix trend. Anuradha has given this public clarification through a social media post.

Anuradha Paudwal originally sang ‘Aaj Phir Tum Par Pyaar Aaya Hai’ in the movie ‘Dayawan’. Arijit later recreated this song in ‘Hate Story Two’.

In a recent interview, Anuradha expressed her displeasure about this and said that she is getting angry due to random remixes of her songs. He specially mentioned this song.

After this, Arijit’s fans got angry. Many have commented that Anuradha has re-sung her predecessors’ songs in the past as cover versions.

However, Anuradha has now clarified that my statement has been misrepresented. I have no objection to Arijit as a person or as a singer. But, I am angry with the indiscriminate remixing of many superhit songs of the 90s including this song. Today’s remixes do not do justice to the original songs. We have re-sung the songs of our senior predecessors, but as a tribute and in a way that preserves the essence of the original song without tampering.
