Goldmines Telefilms has successfully acquired the Hindi television premiere rights for the highly awaited sequel. This means fans will be able to watch the film on Goldmines' popular channel, Dhinchaak TV, following its theatrical run.
This deal underscores the massive pan-Indian appeal of the "Pushpa" franchise. "Pushpa 2: The Rule," directed by Sukumar, is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on December 6, 2024. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna reprising her role as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil returning as the formidable antagonist, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The decision to sell the Hindi television rights to Goldmines Telefilms is a strategic move, given their strong track record in bringing South Indian blockbusters to the Hindi television audience. Dhinchaak TV has become a go-to channel for many viewers seeking popular dubbed films.
The original film, "Pushpa: The Rise," was a phenomenal success across India, with its Hindi-dubbed version particularly captivating audiences and contributing significantly to its blockbuster status. Allu Arjun's portrayal of Pushpa Raj, coupled with Devi Sri Prasad's chart-topping music and Sukumar's direction, created a cultural phenomenon.
The theatrical release of "Pushpa 2" was initially set for August 15, 2024, but was postponed by the filmmakers to ensure the highest quality output and meet the colossal expectations of fans.
