Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The entertainment world is reeling from the shocking and sudden death of actress and model Shefali Jariwala at the age of 42. The star, widely beloved as the "Kaanta Laga girl," reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in Mumbai on Thursday.
She was rushed to Mumbai's Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and others, but was tragically pronounced "dead on arrival" by doctors. Tyagi was later seen looking visibly distraught while leaving the hospital, with other grieving family members and friends also in attendance.
Following the news, the situation escalated with the involvement of authorities. Members of the Mumbai Police and a forensic team were seen arriving at Jariwala’s residence. Her body has since been transferred to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination, a standard procedure to officially determine the cause of death in such cases.
The news was first broken by journalist Vickey Lalwani, who confirmed her passing on social media. His report stated that hospital staff confirmed Jariwala had expired before being brought in.
Shefali Jariwala became a household name with the iconic 2002 music video for "Kaanta Laga." She later cemented her popularity with appearances on several reality shows, including Bigg Boss 13. She married actor Parag Tyagi in 2015, after a previous marriage to musician Harmeet Singh.
Her unexpected passing has triggered a wave of shock and grief across social media, with fans and industry colleagues mourning the loss of the vibrant star.
