Surname not on passport? Tourism is far away, it is difficult to enter the country
Passport Single Name Decision: Due to a new rule There is an atmosphere of unrest everywhere. Due to this unrest, the entry of citizens into the country has also been restricted under the said rule. This is the whole matter of the United Arab Emirates i.e. UAE. Major and equally necessary changes have been made to the travel regulations under the regulations made by this country.
As per the new rules, travelers who have only one name on their passport and are seeking or planning to obtain a visa for travel or any other reason are not allowed to travel to the UAE, at least for now . First of all these passengers have to specify their first name and last name to travel. This rule will come into force from 28 November. Of course there will be some exceptions to this rule.
What does the official paper say?
As per the official orders issued by the UAE from 21st November 2022, such travelers will not be allowed entry/exit in the UAE if they are coming for a tourist visit or any other type of visa, passport and country of their arrival. Passport only mentions first name (not last name).
Who will have access to the country?
According to trade partner IndiGo, those who have UAE resident/permanent visa and have only one name on their passport will be able to travel. But, they will be expected to update the First Name and Last Name columns. The same rule will also apply to employment visa holders.
