Festival-like atmosphere prevailed across the district on International Yoga Day
Sultanpur , 21 June (H.S.). On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Yoga Day was celebrated with enthusiasm across the district. On this occasion, Minister of State Vijay Laxmi Gautam, former Union Minister and MP Maneka Gandhi, district administration and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and workers attended the yoga camp at Environment Park located on the Gomti bank of the city.
In the city’s Tikoniya Park on Sunday, a meditation and pranayama camp was organized in combination with Art of Living and Gayatri Parivar, in which Art of Living teacher Mrs. Pallavi Verma and instructor Lalji Verma and Dr. Kuldeep Pandey were organized by the people. Yoga was done. Rakesh Singh, senior official of Gayatri Parivar, while inaugurating the program, duly informed about yoga. Trainer Mrs. Pallavi Verma got the meditation done with Surya Namaskar, Pranayama. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Dr. RA Verma, District President of Bharatiya Janata Party and founder of Art of Living, and former District President Kamla Shankar Dwivedi, Jagjit Singh, Dr. Sudhakar Singh, Dr. Kuldeep Pandey. Prominent in the program, Dr. AK Singh, the well-known surgeon of Purvanchal and the district director of the union, Dr. Subhash Eye Surgeon, Dr. Sandesh, well-known Euro-surgeon Dr. Ramesh Ojha, Dr. BB Singh, founder of Gomti Mitra Mandal, Rudra Pratap Singh, Hundreds of people were present including Sandeep Singh, Kamal Srivastava, social worker Sheelbhadra Singh Vijay Kumar Pandey, former municipal president Praveen Agarwal.
Professors, non-teaching staff and students and students of BEd Department participated in the yoga practice session organized at Kedar Nath Singh Memorial Trust Institute of Teachers Training, Karaundia. Professor Raj Bahadur Pal and Dr. Pashupatinath Mishra, the instructors of the yoga program, got them practiced by highlighting the importance of various yogasanas. Pushpa Singh, senior professor of the department, underlined the use of yoga especially for girls and women. At the end of the yoga practice, Dr. V.P. Singh Principal, while explaining the role of yoga in physical and mental development, motivated the students to do regular yoga and include it regularly in their daily routine. Dr. Ritu Singh, Chitra Pandey, Pravesh Singh and Amardeep played a commendable role in organizing the programme.
Vikas Shukla, manager of Harsh Mahila PG College located in Dehli Bazar of Baldi Rai Tehsil area, described yoga as essential for physical and mental development. On Yoga Day, the girl students were encouraged by participating in yoga with the girls. Children were told about the benefits of yoga and how to practice it regularly to keep the body healthy and healthy. Manager Vikas Shukla made the students resolve to do yoga for at least 10 minutes every morning and evening. On this occasion, many people including Komal Agrahari, Surekha Tiwari, Sapna Mishra, Neelu Mishra, Sonu Mishra, Rajendra Nath Pandey, Mo Rashid were present.
