In a clip from the show that has gone viral, Ranveer Allahbadia posed a disturbing question to a contestant. He asked:
"Would you like to see your parents having sex every day, or join them one day so that it stops forever?"
This statement triggered strong reactions across social media, with many users expressing their anger and calling it offensive. As a result, Ranveer has been heavily trolled, with some people even demanding his arrest.
Urfi Javed Defends Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina
While several entertainment industry figures have criticized the incident, Urfi Javed has come forward to support Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. Urfi, who has previously been a guest on India’s Got Latent, took to Instagram to express her views.
In her Instagram story, Urfi wrote:
"You may not like certain people or what they say, but demanding that they be jailed for it? Are you serious? Ummm! I don’t know. Samay is a friend of mine, and I support him, but yes, what the rest of the panel said was unpleasant. However, I don’t believe they deserve to be jailed for this."
Government’s Response to the Controversy
Addressing the controversy, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated in a press briefing on Monday that while freedom of speech is important, it should not infringe upon the rights of others. He added that if social norms are violated, appropriate action will be taken.
