After concluding his three-day visit to France, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United States on February 12. This visit holds special significance as it marks his first meeting with US President Donald Trump since Trump assumed office for the second time.

Upon his arrival at Joint Andrews Base in the US, PM Modi was greeted with great enthusiasm by members of the Indian community, who braved the cold winds and rain just to catch a glimpse of him. He is staying at the Blair House, the official guest house of the US President, which has been decorated in the colors of the Indian tricolor to honor his visit.

Even before PM Modi’s plane landed, a large number of Indian expatriates had gathered at the base, eagerly waiting to welcome him. One of the attendees expressed his excitement, saying, "It is a proud moment for us to welcome our Prime Minister here in the United States."

Soon after his arrival, PM Modi met with US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard. During their discussion, he congratulated her and appreciated her consistent support for strengthening India-US relations. He also highlighted the growing friendship between the two nations and expressed optimism about future collaborations.

Bilateral Talks with President Donald Trump

PM Modi is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump on Thursday, making him the third foreign leader to visit the White House during Trump’s second term. This high-profile meeting is expected to cover several key areas of cooperation, including:
