Special observation of girl child and their rights takes place on the 24th of January in India every year in an event called National Girl Child Day. This year the Congress leader and the leader of the Lok Sabha Opposition Rahul Gandhi used this occasion to call upon the society to bring change for better and safer future for girls and refer them as the icons of strength and bravery.

I suggest, let us commit with the zeal of the National Girl Child Day that there will be movement to ensure all girls get what they need, education, health, protection and nutritional needs.
Speaking of Kharge, one may understand the gay strides that have been made in the fight for women’s rights and justice but remember that the task ongoing requires unity and virtues.
The Significance of National Girl Child Day
Though National Girl Child Day was first observed in October 2008 it was by the Ministry of Women and Child Development to specifically address the rights, education and other aspects of girl child in India.
