Filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan I will hit the screens on September 30 and fans are excited to watch the cinematic adaptation of the popular novel. As the film is about to release, some BTS pictures have surfaced on social media, and a picture of Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently going viral. A BTS picture of Trisha aka Kundvai and Aishwarya aka Nandini clicking a selfie from the most anticipated face-to-face scene from the sets is doing the rounds on the internet.

Trisha plays the role of Princess Kundvai and Aishwarya plays the role of Rani Nandini. Both the characters in the story are arch rivals. And between these two there is a final face-to-face in Ponniyin Selvan I, which is said to be the greatest attraction.
Trisha reveals that the director asked her and Aishwarya Rai not to be good friends off-camera. Trisha Krishnan talks about working with Aishwarya. “I was fortunate enough to meet her and interact with her on the first day of our shoot. She is beautiful inside and out, needless to say. The thing is, it was challenging because we got a- One shouldn’t like the other too much, but we became quite famous on the sets. There was a time when Mani sir would come and say, ‘Listen, you guys are taking too much, stop talking, this camaraderie for my scene Cannot be done.
In the film, Vikram will be seen as Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as Vanathiyathevan and Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman. Apart from them, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu and Aishwarya Lakshmi will also play pivotal roles in the first installment of the two-part series. Ponniyin Selvan will reach the cinema hall on September 30.
