As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prepares to form a government in Delhi following its decisive victory in the 2025 Assembly elections, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde credited the party’s success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and promises. Calling it a win for truth over “falsehood,” Shinde emphasized that Delhi voters had reposed their faith in the BJP.
Shinde Applauds BJP’s Victory, Targets AAP
In a post on X, Shinde, the chief leader of the ruling Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, highlighted that voters in Delhi, like those in Maharashtra, had backed the BJP. Taking a swipe at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he said the obstacles to Delhi’s development had now been cleared.
“The people have given a fitting reply to the Arvind Kejriwal-led party, which falsely claimed that the Constitution was in danger,” Shinde remarked.
The ‘Magic’ of PM Modi’s Guarantees
Hailing the victory, Shinde attributed it to the appeal of Prime Minister Modi’s promises. “This is the magic of PM Modi’s guarantees,” he stated. “Falsehood has been defeated, and the voters have stood by truth.”
He also pointed out that the results reflected public approval of the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Last week, Shinde had claimed that several AAP MLAs were in contact with his party, but they were not fielded to avoid vote division, as Shiv Sena had pledged support to the BJP.

Criticizing past governance in Delhi, Naidu pointed out the capital’s pollution issues and inadequate waste management. “Delhi has become one of the most polluted cities, and governance failures can no longer continue,” he asserted.
