The electoral process for 70 seats of the national capital will take place on February 5. The BJP strives to end their 27-year electoral run while AAP looks to maintain their rule for a third term. The Congress party actively seeks to regain its position in power after an extended absence.  All important leaders ended their campaign activities across different constituencies through succession of scheduled rallies on Monday. On February 8 the candidates will learn their electoral destiny through the declaration of results.

These are the essential constituencies together with their prospective candidates which voters must follow.

Since the beginning of his political career Arvind Kejriwal has sought election from New Delhi's political district. The electoral pattern for New Delhi seat has continued throughout the last three assembly elections. The candidate faces competition from Parvesh Verma of the BJP while Sandeep Dikshit runs for Congress in this race. The past victory of Kejriwal was notable because he secured 21,687 more votes than his opponents according to the 2020 results. The previous chief minister is relying on the welfare programs of AAP to court public support by promising monthly payments of Rs 2,100 for women.

Somnath Bharti represents Malviya Nagar as the AAP candidate in upcoming elections because he has successfully won the seat during the past three elections with substantial voting advantages against his opponents. During the 2015 assembly election and the 2020 assembly election Bharti obtained more than half of the voting shares. Building on its past victories Satish Upadhyay from BJP will contest the seat while Jitendra Kumar Kochar runs for Congress at Malviya Nagar.

Ballimaran represents a constituency that historically chose Muslim candidates when elections came around due to its mostly Muslim resident base under the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha electorate. The AAP Party has chosen Imran Hussain to compete for the constituency again because he represents their primary Muslim Candidate and serves as the current minister. Veteran leader Haroon Yusuf represents the Congress Party for Ballimaran after they selected him to run again for the seat he has previously held. Hussain served as a part of the Sheila Dikshit administration while holding ministerial duties. The BJP has kept attempting to win the parliamentary race but consistently fails to secure victory in this constituency. The BJP presidential candidate for Ballimaran constituency is Kamal Bagri. The seat winner Bagri took over from Sodhi when the party fielded him for this constituency during the 2020 elections.

Rohini will experience an intense electoral battle between the BJP and the AAP. The 2013 and 2015 election winners separated by about 5000 votes during these bouts. The Ballimaran seat witness another contest between BJP candidate Vijender Gupta who won two times (2015 and 2020) against AAP candidate Pradeep Mittal whose third campaign. Rohini voters delivered a victory to Gupta with more than 12,000 votes beyond his opponent Rajesh Nama 'Bansiwala' from AAP in the 2020 elections.

The BJP selected the Temple Cell leader Karnail Singh to represent their cause in the Shakur Basti District for the Delhi Assembly political seats. He competes against the senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain for the electoral position.

Since 2015 the Patparganj constituency constantly supported the AAP as their Party veteran Manish Sisodia successfully won it in every election. In this election year the local party nominated teacher Awadh Ojha to challenge BJP candidate Ravinder Singh Negi and Congress candidate Anil Chaudhary in this electoral contest. From 1998 to 2013 the constituency experienced political dominance from the Congress until the arrival of the AAP. Patparganj showed a 2001 Census of India population total of 34,409 residents where males made up 55% yet females formed 45% of the overall population. Sisodia secured victory in the 2020 polls by collecting 70,163 votes.

The electoral rivalry between the Congress and AAP and BJP remains intense for the Kalkaji constituency. The seating positions for both women candidates belong to the AAP and Congress parties. Atishi Singh from AAP contests the seat of Delhi's Chief Minister against both Alka Lamba from Congress and Ramesh Bidhuri of BJP. The 1,94,515 registered constituency voters include 1,06,893 males and 87,617 females together with 5 voters from the transgender community. The Kalkaji seat has always been held by AAP since the previous two electoral cycles. The Jangpura seat has returned victory to AAP since 2020 and 2015 under the leadership of Praveen Kumar. Manish Sisodia represents the new candidate which the party selected this year. Both candidates representing AAP and Congress challenge each other in this electoral race with Tarvinder Singh Marwah fighting against AAP leader Atishi. During the 2020 elections the AAP party received more than 15,000 votes. AAP conducted this move to combat anti-incumbency while building its political dominance throughout Delhi.
