New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra has started booking its new electric car XUV400 from today. The company launched this car last year. The electric SUV was launched earlier this month with prices starting from Rs 15.99 lakh. The car is available in a total of two variants EC and EL, with the price of the electric SUV going up to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). All these prices will be applicable for the first 5,000 bookings that Mahindra will receive through its official website. At the same time, the company can start delivery of the car from March this year.

Battery and Charging

Both the variants are offered with two sets of battery and charging options. The EC variant of the XUV400 is offered with a 34.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and comes with 3.3 kW charging option and 7.2 kW charging option. The electric variant with higher charging capacity will cost Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The high-spec EL variant is equipped with a 39.4 kWh battery pack and offers only 7.2 kW charging option.

Mahindra XUV400 Small Electric SUVs

Let us tell you that the Mahindra XUV400, which is currently available in the Indian market, claims to offer the highest range among small electric SUVs. The top spec EL variant can offer a range of 456 km on a single charge. While the lower EC variant can offer a range of up to 375 km. In terms of performance, both the variants of the XUV400 have the same output. The EV generates 150 PS of max power and 310 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate to 0.100 kmph in 8.3 seconds. It offers three different driving modes – Fun, Fast and Fearless.

Will compete with Tata Nexon EV

In the Indian market, this car competes with Tata Motors in the four wheeler segment. The XUV400 will compete with the Tata Nexon EV in terms of price and range on offer. The Nexon EV is offered in more variants than the XUV and is priced between Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 17.50 lakh.
