Tim Cook the CEO of Apple continues to emphasize that India stands as a key market for Apple expansion. In the employee conference following Apple's quarterly financial results Cook announced another successful quarter for the company. During an investors’ call the CEO announced the establishment of four new retail outlets that Apple planned to launch in India.

iPhone Leads the Indian Smartphone Market

The iPhone stood as the most popular smartphone model sold in India for this quarter according to Cook's statement. The Chief Executive Officer announced that India stood as the world's second-largest smartphone territory and maintained the third position for PCs and tablets. Apple's chief executive showed optimistic attitudes about how their business will expand throughout the Indian market even though their share in these sectors remains limited.

Apple Dominates Indian Tablet Market

The tablet segment stands as Apple’s top position but the company maintains a limited presence in India’s PC industry. Cybermedia Research reported that Apple maintained control of 34% market share throughout the Indian tablet market. The iPad 10 Series entry-level model comprised 60% of Apple’s total shipments showing that Apple maintains its prominent position in the market segment.

According to Kantar a recent survey demonstrated the iPhone being the most popular device in major international marketplaces during Q4 including USA, China, India, Great Britain and Japan and France and Australia.
