After CNG, Maruti Suzuki is now gearing up to strengthen its grip on the hybrid vehicle market. As per a media report, as a result of its continuous efforts towards new and eco-friendly transportation, the company is all set to launch the next generation models of its two best-selling models Swift and Dzire as hybrid models. According to reports, these cars are set to revolutionize the compact vehicle segment due to their robust fuel efficiency and equipped with cutting-edge technology.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid-
Maruti’s popular Swift is a popular car among Indians. Also the new generation model is awesome. However, its design details are yet to be revealed. But there will be many major changes in its exterior and interior. This upcoming hatchback is expected to come in a more advanced and luxurious design while retaining the original design concept. The interior of the car will get an advance cabin, which will be comfortable for the passengers.

The biggest change has been made to its powertrain. Its engine is now mated to a more advanced and fuel efficient hybrid system. According to media reports, it will get a 1.2-litre strong-hybrid engine, which will be capable of delivering a mileage of over 35 kilometers per litre. Also, the existing 1.2L mild-hybrid engine option will also be available.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid-
The look and design of the next-generation Dzire is likely to be very attractive. According to media reports, its design is inspired by the new updated Swift. The exterior of the Dzire will be equipped with new design elements. It also gets a more premium look at the front end, with projector LED headlights and LED taillights. Along with this, some parts are likely to be updated in its interior as well.
For more mileage, the upcoming Dzire will be offered with a hybrid powertrain. Like its Swift hatchback counterpart, the DZire is likely to get a 1.2-litre strong-hybrid engine, which will be capable of delivering greater fuel efficiency along with superior power. Designed with more urban driving in mind, this hybrid configuration has the ability to operate in full electric mode, reducing emissions and fuel consumption. Apart from this, the currently available 1.2-litre mild-hybrid engine option will also remain.
