PM Modi gets Fiji’s highest award, honor for global leadership

Where PM Modi has made India famous all over the world, many countries are honoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the highest honor of their country. While PM Modi is on a tour of many countries including Japan, both Papua New Guinea and Fiji have honored PM Modi with their country’s highest honour. Fiji honored PM Modi with ‘Companion of the Order of Fiji’. The host country Papua New Guinea has awarded PM Modi with the highest honor ‘The Grand Companion of the Order of Loghu’.

 

Participated in FIPIC Summit

PM Modi has reached Papua New Guinea directly from Japan. Here he participated in the third Indo-Pacific Island Cooperation Summit. Co-chairing the conference with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape, PM Narendra Modi said, he can see India as a reliable partner. He also assured Marape of all possible help.

How did FIPIC start?

FIPIC was launched during Modi’s visit to Fiji in 2014. The summit is taking place at a time when China is making efforts to increase its military and political influence in the region.
