Musheer may not have scored a double century in his debut match of the Duleep Trophy, but he broke Sachin Tendulkar’s 33-year-old record with his innings of 181 runs. Musheer faced 373 balls and hit 16 fours and 5 sixes in his innings and became the third-highest scorer (under 20 years of age) in the Duleep Trophy debut match. Earlier this record was in the name of Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 159 runs in his Duleep Trophy debut match in January 1991. Now Musheer has pushed Sachin Tendulkar to the fourth position.
Baba Aparajit holds the record of the teenager who played the biggest innings in the Duleep Trophy debut match. Baba had scored 212 runs. After this Yash Dhull is in second place. He had scored 193 runs in his debut match. After these two players, now Sarfaraz has secured his place at number three in this special list.
