Suspense crime, Digital Desk : While demolishing records, he scored a staggering 100 runs in just 35 balls which propelled the Rajasthan Royals to an 8-wicket win over the Marathon Gujarat Titans during IPL 2025. With this astonishing feat, he also became the youngest player to score a century and the fastest Indian in IPL history.

Vaibhav’s electric innings helped the Royals achieve the mammoth 210-run target in a mere 15.5 overs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, grabbing hold of the limelight while doing so.

Ian Bishop On The 14-Year-Old's Striking Flair In Tendulkar's Style

Bishop went on to narrate an astonishing moment where a young Tendulkars flair resided on an aggressive pitch. In his own words, while recalling the incident, “I told myself nothing can surprise me anymore in this world of uncertainty but when I got the chance to bowl this kid, I truly did”.
While on tour in Chesterfield, Sachin sailed past a back of length delivery for a sublime six, which in Bishop’s terms, “easily transformed into my worst day on the field”. Finally ending his rabbit-like winning streak, delivering him a set of unbeaten '105' runs leaded India to yet another victory in the tendulkar era.

Bishop has observed that “this kid [Vaibhav] is even younger, he’s 14 and already taking on bowlers like Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Rashid Khan and hitting them for runs. I can only imagine how they must be feeling at that age, just like I did 35 years ago.”

Vaibhav's Very Own Rampage Against International Bowlers

Aggression for the veteran came with immense precision along with immense control in his final innings:

Washington Sundar - 2 sixes, 1 four.

Ishant Sharma - 3 sixes, 2 fours in a single over.

Karim Janat - 3 sixes, 3 fours.

He brought up a hundred off a six against Rashid Khan.

The entire fan and expert base was left stunned with the shot selection and bat speed showcased by the young lad which was far too advanced for his age as he brought down seasoned international bowlers with remarkable maturity.

It is a testament to his skill that even Sachin Tendulkar came out to bat for him after the sensational innings claiming:

“Vaibhav took stand steered onto the path filled with risks and had throttle put onto the bat forcefully transferring the energy behind the ball which was the recipe behind the remarkable innings he played. End result: 101 runs off 38 balls. Great performance!”
