The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads for the upcoming U19 tri-series featuring India U19 A, India U19 B, and Afghanistan U19. All-rounder Vihaan Malhotra has been appointed as the captain of the India U19 A team, with wicketkeeper-batsman Hardik Raj named as his deputy.
The junior selection committee finalized the two Indian squads for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Guwahati from November 28 to December 7. The series will be played in a 50-over format, providing a crucial platform for young talents to showcase their skills ahead of future international assignments.
Both Indian teams feature a mix of promising players who have performed well in domestic age-group tournaments. The inclusion of an international team, Afghanistan U19, is expected to provide a higher level of competition and valuable experience for the Indian colts. This series is seen as a significant opportunity for the selectors to identify and groom players for the next ICC U19 World Cup.
