As the vibrant colors of Holi and the martial spirit of Hola Mohalla sweep across the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Punjab and the global Punjabi community.

In a message focused on unity and cultural pride, the Chief Minister emphasized the unique way Punjab celebrates this season blending the joyous colors of Holi with the valorous traditions of the Khalsa.

The Spirit of Hola Mohalla

While the rest of the country celebrates Holi, the Sikh heartland of Anandpur Sahib transforms into a sea of saffron and blue for Hola Mohalla.

The Legacy: Started by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1701, this festival was designed to showcase the military prowess of the Sikhs.

The Celebration: CM Mann highlighted how Hola Mohalla remains a symbol of bravery, featuring Gatka (martial arts), horse riding, and poetry, reminding every Punjabi of their courageous roots.

Holi: A Message of Social Harmony

On the occasion of Holi, the Chief Minister prayed for the prosperity and peace of the state. He urged citizens to celebrate the "festival of colors" by rising above the barriers of caste, creed, and religion.

"Holi is a time to forget old grievances and color each other in the hues of love and brotherhood," Mann stated in his official address.

He also appealed to the youth to celebrate safely and respect the environment during the festivities.

Strengthening the "Rangla Punjab" Vision

The CM used the occasion to reiterate his government’s commitment to building a "Rangla Punjab" (Vibrant Punjab). He noted that festivals are the threads that bind the social fabric of the state together and expressed hope that the spirit of these celebrations would inspire people to contribute toward the state's progress.

Grand Arrangements at Anandpur Sahib

The Punjab government has made extensive arrangements for the lakhs of devotees congregating at Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Security & Traffic: Special routes and heavy police presence to ensure a smooth experience for pilgrims.

Health Services: 24/7 medical camps and ambulances stationed across the holy city.

Cleanliness: Dedicated teams to manage the influx and maintain the sanctity of the religious site.
