WTC Final: Pakistan’s game is over, on the verge of being out of the World Test Championship race

Pakistan team is in eighth position in the points table of the World Test Championship. 

If we talk about the points table of the World Test Championship, the team is currently in the eighth position among nine teams. You will say what can be worse than this? It can happen, it can definitely happen. The team is yet to reach the ninth position. Pakistan has played a total of seven matches in this cycle of the World Test Championship. Out of those, Pakistan has won two matches and lost five. The team has 16 points and its PCT is 19.050. 

After losing the Multan Test, the team will go below even West Indies.

Currently, only the West Indies team is below Pakistan. Its PCT is 18.520. If the Pakistani team loses the Multan Test to England, then its PCT will fall to 16.67. That means the team will go below West Indies as well. Meanwhile, let us tell you that the cutoff to reach the final of the World Test Championship is 58.5. What if Pakistan wins all its remaining six matches from here? Anything can happen in cricket. But let us tell you that even if the Pakistani team wins all its remaining matches from here, then its PCT will be at most 52.38. Which will prove insufficient to reach the final. 

After England, we have to play a series with South Africa and the West Indies.

After the Multan Test, the Pakistan cricket team will play two more Tests against England, as the series consists of three matches. After this, the team will play two Tests against South Africa from December to January. Pakistan will face West Indies for two Tests. This means that England is already facing tension at home, but when the matches against South Africa are played, it will be even more difficult. Overall, it should be believed that if the Multan Test is lost, then the Pakistan team will be out of the race for the WTC final.
