Delhi News: Wrestler Bajrang Punia has been taken into custody by the Delhi Police and kept at Mayur Vihar Police Station. Let us tell you that at around 11.30 this morning, the wrestlers sitting on dharna at Jantar-Mantar started marching towards the new parliament building, as the wrestlers had organized a Mahila Panchayat there. There the Delhi Police instructed them to stop and also said that today is the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building.

So from the security point of view no one is allowed to go there but all the wrestlers went ahead and broke the 3 layers of barricading. This was followed by a clash between the police and the wrestlers, after which the police took the wrestlers into custody. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik have been detained in different police stations in different districts of Delhi. The police have not yet clarified when they will be released. At the same time, the police definitely said that the protesting wrestlers had violated the law, so legal action was taken against them.

 

Police took action regarding the inauguration of Parliament House

The Delhi Police made it clear that no one is allowed to protest in view of the inauguration program of the new Parliament building on Sunday. Delhi Police has banned entry of private vehicles in New Delhi area till 3 pm today. Khap panchayat and farmer organizations warned against marching towards the new Parliament building, but the sit-in farmers and wrestlers remained steadfast. Keeping this in mind, the Delhi Police had sealed the borders of Delhi. No one has been allowed to enter the Delhi border since Sunday morning. On the other hand, when the gathering of wrestlers at Jantar-Mantar proceeded towards the new Parliament House, the police took them into custody.
