Wrestler said- ‘Police did not give entry to Arun Jaitley in the stadium despite ticket’

[ad_1]

While Dhoni-Dhoni slogans could be heard inside the stadium during the Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings match, wrestlers who have been protesting outside the stadium for a long time were not allowed inside the stadium. In fact, the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar over allegations of sexual harassment have claimed that despite having tickets for the match, the police did not allow them to enter.

Significantly, all the wrestlers had reached Arun Jaitley Stadium to watch the cricket match. Meanwhile, the wrestlers allege that the Delhi Police has canceled their ticket. While the Delhi Police has termed this allegation of the wrestlers as baseless.

Meanwhile Vinesh Phogat said that we had come to watch the match. There were five of us and all of us had tickets. They checked our tickets and said they would not let us go. Also they said that there is security issue for us and they will put us in VIP A area. But we refused for this and said no, we want to watch the match from the same seats for which we have tickets. It is being said that the wrestlers have not been given entry in the stadium. On which the wrestlers have expressed their displeasure. Significantly, wrestler Brij Bhushan is opposing the arrest of Sharan Singh.

At the same time, Delhi Police tweeted on this matter and said, ‘Some social media handles are spreading misleading news like banning wrestlers from watching IPL matches. No valid ticket holder is stopped at Ferozshah Kotla ground. Everyone is admitted through his designated gate.’
