Deepika is a resident of Karangagudi Semartoli in Kersai area of ​​Soreng district. Deepika’s father Daniel Soreng died in her childhood. After which the helpless mother Frisca Soreng raised her children by working as a laborer in Rourkela. Seeing Deepika Soreng’s interest in hockey, he worked hard to push her in that direction. The story of Roopni is also similar. His father Ratu Manjhi has also passed away. Her mother and other family members have played an important role in helping Roopni reach here. Although Mahima is the sister of Olympian Salima, she has had to struggle a lot due to the poor living conditions at home. He himself has worked in the fields. The economic base of his family is agriculture and labour.

All three players won consecutive gold

All the three players played for the Jharkhand team in all the junior national championships in 2017 and emerged champions by winning gold medals. All three had also won gold in the year 2019 while playing for the Jharkhand team in Junior Nationals. Hockey players Deepika, Ropani and Mahima have been continuously playing for the Jharkhand team in national competitions as well. Now all three will make Jharkhand’s name shine in foreign countries. Hockey India has announced an 18-member Indian junior women’s team for the prestigious Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2023, starting from Group 2 at Kakamigahara, Japan.
