Alipurduar: Police from Kalchini police station arrested a woman along with a quantity of drug pills from Central Duars area under the Bhutan border of the district on Monday night. The arrested woman has been identified as Preeti Lama. Around 1000 drug pills have been seized from the accused woman.
Regarding this, Kalchini Police Station In-charge TN Lama said that his team received information that drug pills were being sold in a shop located in the Central Door area of Kalchini block. Based on this information, the shop was raided. Around 1000 drug pills were recovered from the shop during the operation. After which the woman was arrested. A case has been registered against the accused woman under the NDPS Act and further action has been taken.
