Crime News: An incident happened recently that shows what happens if common sense is not used while committing a theft. This strange incident happened in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The thief entered the house to steal. After stealing, he sat in the same house and started drinking. He drank so much that he fell asleep in the bedroom. The people of the house went to the wedding. When he came home, he found a stranger sleeping in his bedroom. He then called the police and took him into custody.

Sharwanand Naik, a resident of Chhapra, Bihar, has retired from the army as a Subedar. He lives in Lucknow with his family. All these went to a wedding. But when he came home, he found bottles of liquor lying there. Everything got messed up. After this he was surprised when he reached the bedroom. Because here in reality a person was sleeping on his bed.

After a thorough inspection of the entire house, the relatives found that more than eight lakhs worth of goods had been stolen. After this he called the police and found out that his name is Salin and he is a resident of Sharda Nagar. Another colleague was also with him. He claimed that he drank alcohol after the theft and left him behind.

“I opened the door after coming home from the wedding. This time I noticed that the upper part of the gate was broken. Everything in the house was falling. When I reached the bedroom, a young man was sleeping comfortably. The liquor bottles we had were lying next to him,” said Sharwanand.

According to the family, 100 grams of gold, 2 kg of silver, 40 sarees worth Rs 1.5 lakh, 40 sarees worth Rs 50 thousand and cash worth Rs 6 lakh were looted from the house.

Sharwanand’s family members saw the thief waking up and immediately handed him over to the police. During interrogation he stated that his name was Salim and that he had entered the house to steal with one of his accomplices.

According to Salim, after entering the house we were looking for a price match. After collecting the goods at home, the colleague made us drink the liquor kept there. Salim lost consciousness after drinking alcohol. This time it was in the bedroom. As soon as he got a chance, his Sagarit ran away with all the belongings. Currently, the police are investigating the matter further. Based on the information given by Salim, the police said that his accomplice is being searched for.
