West Bengal Higher Secondary Result Declared, 89.25 Percent Candidates Passed

Kolkata: The result of West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination was declared on Wednesday afternoon. A press conference on behalf of the Council of Higher Secondary Education said that this time around eight 52 thousand 444 students appeared for the exam, out of which 89.25 percent students passed. Shubhanshu Sarkar of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission has topped the entire state. He has secured 496 marks out of 500.

There are 87 students in the top ten. Last year there were 272 students in the top ten. Most students have passed from East Medinipur. In 11 districts the pass percentage is more than 90 percent. There are 18 students from Hooghly district alone in the top ten. It is stated that the number of female students is 1.27 lakh more than the number of female students. The result is declared after 57 days of examination.
