Weather Update: The weather will deteriorate again in the next three days in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, many parts of Punjab are likely to receive light to moderate rains for the next three days. A strong wind can also blow with this. It will provide relief from heat. Areas around Chandigarh are also receiving light rain.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a cyclone in northwest India till May 31. Weather activity will peak on May 29 and May 30, due to Western Disturbance on Monday night. It states that there is a cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan.
According to the Meteorological Department, many states including Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive rain till May 31. “Satellite imagery predicts light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds over parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 3-4 hours,” the IMD said.
There has been a change in the weather in the national capital Delhi and NCR on Monday. In the afternoon, light rain started in many parts of Delhi-NCR with strong winds. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in some states of India including Rajasthan, Punjab.
