[ad_1]

Auraiya: In the current era of changing India, governments may be claiming the availability of drinking water, but the reality on the ground says something else, even today the population of dozens of villages does not have access to clean water.

It is worth mentioning that the wells and hand pumps have become mere showpieces in the villages of Khakhadhaj area as the water level has decreased. The situation has become such that people have to drink contaminated water from Yamuna. Matadin, a resident of village Aniruddha Nagar, Rambharos, says that the hand pumps installed in the village are not able to touch the water level. The wells have become lifeless due to lack of cleaning over the years. In such a situation water has to be fetched from far away and animals have to drink contaminated water from Yamuna. Sometimes you have to drink this water.

Gramin Kallu, a resident of Tatarpur village, says the government has implemented the Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana to deal with the drinking water crisis, but even today water crisis is a major problem in many austere villages. The 120 feet departmental waring has stopped working in summer as the water level has now reached 180 feet.

There is no system in these villages
