It will set up an International Development Center (IDC) here, which is expected to create jobs for 1,200 professionals. As the business grows, the number of employees will also increase.

By setting up an office in Hyderabad, Warner Bros. Discovery aims to tap the huge potential of the Indian market and leverage the city’s vibrant ecosystem for media and entertainment. The IDC in Hyderabad will serve as a strategic center for Warner Bros. Discovery’s operations in India. In its first year of operations, IDC will employ 1,200 professionals, expanding its workforce as the business grows. The move reflects Warner Bros. Discovery’s commitment to investing in the local talent pool and fostering the growth of the media and entertainment industry in Hyderabad, the statement said.

Minister Rama Rao tweeted soon after meeting Carter that he was thrilled to announce the grand entry of global media powerhouse Warner Bros. Discovery into Telangana’s entertainment sector.

“Hyderabad is all set to launch its amazing IDC, a hub of creativity and innovation, with 1200 employees in the first year! This milestone is a significant step towards their expansion plans. Collaborations with such industry giants promise unprecedented ventures that will shape the future of the media and entertainment sector in Telangana,” the minister said.
