Amsterdam: There are reports of a big riot during a football match in Amsterdam. It is being told that Jewish football fans were targeted and attacked. Many Israelis have been injured in this. Amsterdam police said on Friday that after the football match, anti-Jewish rioters attacked Israeli supporters, after which 5 people were injured. They were admitted to the hospital by the police. While 62 people have been arrested in connection with this incident.
After the incident, the police said in a post on ‘X’ that it has started investigating different incidents of violence. However, the police did not give detailed information about the people injured and detained in the violence that took place on Thursday night. Earlier, a statement issued by the Amsterdam Municipality, Police and Prosecution Office said that the Europa League match played between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv teams was “very disruptive, with several incidents of violence targeting Maccabi supporters.”
