Rules for lighting lamps:Rules and methods have been given for every work in Vastu Shastra. If work is done according to the rules, then auspicious results are obtained. Lighting a lamp is also one such work. There are many benefits of lighting a lamp daily. But to get these benefits, it is important that the right way of lighting a lamp is adopted. Since lighting a lamp ends negativity and brings positivity. Therefore, a lamp is always lit while doing puja. Some things should be kept in mind while lighting a lamp during worship in the temple.
It is important to keep some things in mind while lighting a lamp. Otherwise, instead of benefit, there can be loss.
In religious scriptures, rules for lighting lamps for different gods and goddesses have been mentioned. For example, mustard oil lamp should be lit for Shani Dev, jasmine oil lamp for Hanuman ji, ghee lamp for Lakshmi ji. In this way, as per the rules, light lamps for different gods and goddesses as per their choice.
– Whenever you light a diya during a puja, do not place it directly in front of God, but keep it on the right or left side of the idol of God. If you are lighting a ghee lamp during puja, it should always be kept on your left side. Keep the oil lamp on your right side.
– Similarly, rules have been given regarding the wick of ghee and oil lamps. For example, while lighting a lamp of ghee, the wick should be made of red thread or thread. Whereas, if you are lighting a lamp of ghee, then use a cotton wick.
– It is very important to keep the direction in mind while lighting the lamp. Never light the lamp in the west direction. Doing so causes poverty and crisis.
– Light a lamp during the morning prayers and also light a lamp at the main entrance of the house every evening. This pleases Goddess Lakshmi and she blesses you with a lot of wealth.
– Lighting a lamp in the house in the morning and evening ensures happiness and peace in the house.
