Dehradun : The weather which had deteriorated in the state is still intact. The sequence of rain and snowfall remains more or less the same as before. That is, the prediction of the department seems to be coming true completely. The sequence of continuous rain and snowfall continues on the mountains, due to which the Chardham Yatra season is also being affected.
Half of May has just passed and it has been more than 3 weeks since Chardham Yatra started, but due to the weather, the travel arrangements have started deteriorating. The weather was clear in Kedar Dham since Monday morning, but after noon there was a sudden change in the weather and heavy snowfall started, due to which the devotees present in the Dham had to face a lot of problems.
Even though the registration for Kedarnath Yatra has been banned till May 25, but even after this, the process of reaching Kedar Dham on an average of 25 thousand devotees per day continues. Due to incessant rains and snowfall, where the pilgrims going on foot are facing great difficulties, it is not possible to deliver essential materials to the Dham. The arrangements for living and eating in the Dham have also broken down.
Due to continuous snowfall on the mountains, the danger of Avalanche has also increased. Today a picture of an avalanche came to the fore in Chamoli’s Neelkanth mountain, in which a huge amount of snow is seen coming down from the mountain at a stormy speed.
It is noteworthy that this incident is 20-25 km away from Badrinath, where pilgrims going to Dham also go. NDRF teams are keeping an eye on it. On the other hand, the Yatra of Hemkund Sahib is also going to start from May 20, but there is 7-8 feet of snow here, the work of opening the way is going on with machines, but due to snowfall every day, the situation remains unchanged.
