UP Politics: Mayawati now surrounded Yogi government on this issue, said big thing

Mayawati News: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Monday appealed to the Uttar Pradesh government to immediately improve the power system and not to cut power in hospitals etc. Mayawati tweeted, ‘Amidst the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh for the last several days, the severe power shortage in the entire state including the capital Lucknow has increased the difficulties of the people.’

BSP Chief said, ‘The news of death from Ballia and other districts is very sad. The government should improve the electricity system immediately and not cut electricity in hospitals etc. Let us tell you that 57 people have died in the Ballia district in the last few days due to the scorching heat and heat stroke.

It is worth noting that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had expressed displeasure by summoning Energy Minister AK Sharma and President of Uttam Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) M Devraj late on Friday evening regarding the power system in the state.

Expressing displeasure over undeclared power cuts, Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered to improve the power system in the state immediately. According to a statement released recently, the Chief Minister also said that the policy announced by the government regarding the power system should be implemented with full promptness. According to the power policy, there is a provision of 24 hours power supply to district headquarters, 22 hours to tehsil headquarters, and 18 hours to rural areas.

The Chief Minister said that electricity should be supplied according to the roster. He gave clear instructions that there should be no power shortage anywhere in the state. If needed, electricity should be made available to the general public by purchasing electricity as per the requirement.

CM fixed the responsibility of the officers
CM Yogi also fixed the responsibility of the officers in clear words. He said that the feeder-wise accountability of the officers should be fixed. Not only this, the concerned officers should review every district daily, and a control room should be set up in every district. The District Magistrate should regularly monitor the power system in the district.
