Recently on October 4, 10 workers riding on a tractor-trolley died in an accident. This accident happened in Mirzapur when all the workers were going to Varanasi. Apart from this, many such incidents have also come to light.
A meeting will be called soon.
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said, “We will soon call a high-level meeting to discuss ways to curb the use of tractor-trolleys for passenger transport.” “Strict enforcement of rules on tractor-trolleys as well as creating necessary awareness among people in rural areas who prefer tractor-trolleys for commuting, possibly because they find it a cheaper and easily accessible option,” Dayashankar Singh said.
No restrictions on business/agricultural work
Let us tell you that according to the rules, tractor-trolleys are not allowed to carry people for general or personal travel. Tractor-trolleys can be used to gTractor trolleysite or farm for commercial or agricultural work. Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh admitted that these rules are often violated. He said that strict attention needs to be paid to this. He said, “Our intention is to create awareness to people that even though they feel that tractor trolleys are easy and tractor-trolleyshing can be more precious than life. Many accidents have happened
Apart from the Mirzapu.r accident, in February also, 23 people riding on a tractor-trolley died in an accident in Kasganj, UP. Earlier in October 2023 last year, 6 people riding on a tractor-trolley died during an accident in Hathras. At the same time, 14 people died in an accident in Shahjahanpur in April. Similarly, in an accident in October 2022, 26 people lost their lives in Agra.
