UP: NIA raids in several districts including Lucknow

Lucknow The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids in Lucknow’s Gomtinagar area. Apart from Lucknow, teams have reached Ayodhya, Pratapgarh, Bareilly and Lakhimpur Kheri.

According to information received from sources, the NIA conducted raids in Lucknow around 5 am on Wednesday in search of betel nut killer Vikas Singh, who is associated with the Lawrence Vishnoi Group. Vikas lived in Park View Apartment in Gomtinagar. He is accused of taking betel nut along with supplying drugs and arms.

If sources are to be believed, NIA, originally from Ayodhya, has also reached Ayodhya in search of development. But this cannot be confirmed. Apart from Lucknow, the NIA has also conducted raids in other districts of the state.

It may be mentioned that this operation of NIA is going on in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and raids against terrorism, drug trafficking and gangster nexus. However, no official has been able to provide information about this yet.
