A police vehicle met with an accident in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. A Police Response Vehicle (PRV) overturned in a drain in Rampur. A woman constable died due to this. Three other personnel traveling in the vehicle were injured. Police officials gave this information on Friday.

.The police officer said that the PRV was on its way to attend an emergency call when the incident took place near Patwai police station late Thursday night. PRV commander constable Akash Diwakar, constable driver Sumit Pawar, and women constables Pinky and Ruchi were traveling in the vehicle. According to the police, constable Ruchi, a native ofthe Bijnor district, succumbed to injuries while the other three have been referred to Moradabad for better treatment.

Rampur Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Atul Kumar Srivastava said, ‘Our PRV (vehicle) from Patwai police station area was going to the spot after receiving an emergency call. Then the vehicle met with an accident and overturned in the drain. Tragically, a woman constable died, and three others were seriously injured.
The injured were referred to a hospital in Moradabad
The police officer said that initially they were treated at the district hospital. Later they were referred to Cosmos Hospital in Moradabad. The condition of all three is stable, but they are being sent for further treatment and investigation.
The deceased constable was a resident of Bijnor.
The police officer said that necessary action was taken immediately after the accident. Senior officers reached the spot and the injured were provided immediate care. Srivastava said that this is a tragic incident and further investigation is underway. The deceased woman constable was a resident of Bijnor.
