He recounted, “When I was working as a CEO with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, producing films like ‘Ram-Leela,’ ‘Bajirao Mastani,’ ‘Mary Kom,’ ‘Gabbar is Back,’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore,’ Ankita, a friend of mine, believed in me.”

Singh further revealed, “In fact, she and Kangana Ranaut were among the first few people who told me that I should become a director. Ankita told me that ‘Sandeep, when you make a film, I’ll act in it.’ When I made ‘Sarbjit,’ I contacted her, but she couldn’t do the film. However, we stayed in touch whenever I was shooting.”
