Umaria: The Governor and the Chief Minister participated in the Employment Day and Women’s Conference

Bhopal, May 24 (Hindustan Times). Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended the State Level Employment Day and Women’s Convention in Umaria district on Wednesday. He has given 1309 MSME units of the state Rs. 271 crore 41 lakh grant and 2 lakh 26 thousand 647 youth in various self-employment schemes Rs. 2114 crores 48 lakhs was symbolically inaugurated. In this program Rs. 388 crore worth of development works were launched and Bhoomipujan was also done. The Chief Minister boosted their morale by interacting virtually with the self-employed youth of Sagar, Gwalior, Ujjain and Mandla districts. Also distributed the benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes.

Everyone should participate in making sickle cell and TB free state: Governor

Governor Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to eradicate sickle cell anemia and TB from India. We all have to make a concerted effort to make this public welfare initiative a success. Especially in 20 tribal-majority districts, which are the worst affected by the disease, a screening has been launched, all citizens will have to undergo self-examination. The central government has set a target of 2047 for genetic sickle cell anemia and 2025 for TB eradication. He said that TB disease should not be hidden, seek medical advice immediately if symptoms appear.

The Governor said that our country lives in villages. The prosperity of the village will strengthen and develop the country. Madhya Pradesh has always been at the top in implementation of central and state government schemes for rural development. He appreciated the government’s decision to give priority to women’s small, micro and medium enterprises in government procurement. He also congratulated the state government for standing first in the implementation of Matru Vandana Yojana. Mentioning the Ladli Lakshmi Yojana and Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana, he praised the state government’s efforts for women empowerment.

He said that it is a matter of happiness that the state government is working with full dedication for the development of all sections, youth, women, underprivileged and tribals. The state government has implemented the PESA Act in 11 thousand 457 villages of 20 tribal-majority districts to strengthen the tribal community’s traditional rights over water, forest and land.
