Kolkata: Crime Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal Police has safely rescued a minor girl who was abducted from Government Police Station area under Barasat Police District of North 24 Parganas. The police have arrested both the kidnappers from Darada, Gujarat. Both are residents of Jharkhand.
According to a CID statement on Tuesday, the accused arrested on Monday have been identified as Zarar Khan (26) and Mohammad Chand Shaikh (23). Both are residents of Rajmahal police station area of Sahibganj district. Both of them kept the girl imprisoned in alcohol. The girl has been handed over to her parents.
According to the CID, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 363 and 365 and 366A of the Indian Penal Code. On March 20, the girl’s father filed an FIR in this regard at the government police station. In which it was stated that the girl left the house but did not return. Later he started getting ransom calls. Threats were being made that wrong will be done to the girl.
